Endodontics

Dra. Irene de los Mozos is a dedicated specialist in endodontics and dental aesthetics, with an impressive academic and professional background. She earned her degree in Dentistry and later completed her Master’s in Endodontics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). Further specializing, she pursued advanced postgraduate studies in Endodontics and Dental Aesthetics at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores Odontológicos (IESO). Additionally, she holds accreditation in radiological protection, allowing her to oversee X-ray facilities.


Her academic contributions are significant, with her current roles including teaching Advanced Endodontics with Microscopy at IESO, as well as leading ongoing education courses in Advanced Endodontics at UCM. She collaborates as an instructor in Conservative Dentistry within UCM’s Department of Dental Pathology and Therapeutics, where she plays an active role in clinical training and education. Dra. de los Mozos also supports specialized courses such as "Sedation in the Dental Office" and collaborates with the Department of Stomatology III at UCM’s Faculty of Dentistry.


Dra. de los Mozos has contributed valuable scientific work to the field. Her research presentations include:


  • 2014-2015: Presentation at the Spanish Society of Conservative Dentistry Congress and the XXXV National Congress of the Spanish Endodontic Association on "The Interference of Ultrasound Devices Used in Endodontics with Pacemakers and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators."

  • 2012: Awarded Best Scientific Presentation at the VII Complutense Research Days in Health Sciences for her study on a clinical case of jaw osteonecrosis: "The Bisphosphonate Trap."

  • 2012: Another award-winning presentation at the VII Complutense Research Days focused on the complications in a patient with pemphigus vulgaris, multiple myeloma, and bisphosphonate-induced osteonecrosis, titled "Severe Concurrent Conditions, Aggressive Treatments, and Adverse Effects: Coincidence or Iatrogenesis?"

  • 2011: Presentation at the VI Complutense Research Days for her study on sucrose-containing drugs and alternatives in pediatric dentistry.
